Last training camp of 2009

Our last training camp of this year has started, we arrived Saturday evening, and on Sunday we installed all our equipment in our team room.

Today we were ready to go to the club and start with our jumps that we briefed yesterday.

It now seems that it rained yesterday night, the day started grey and cloudy.

Anyway we are waiting to go to the club.

Last week, we were invited by the Minister of Defence; De Crem Pieter.

A great honor, we could talk with him about the team, about our results and more important about our future plans.

The minister was very pleased by our motivation.

End of Empuriabrava camp + NEW Website

The end of the September - October camp is over since last Thursday.

We did 69 jumps in perfect skydive and training weather.

The jumps were also of a very good level, we did a lot of B-slots, as in the front and back piece.

The plan is to do this also in 2,5 weeks, when we go back for our last camp this year.

As from today, the US Nationals will start as well at Houston, Texas.

I just saw the draw and with the fast sequence A-N-H-P-O in Round 6, a new World Record is ready to be set.

Anyway, except Round 1 this looks like a good draw to score very high.

I think Airspeed will try to beat their own record of 26,o average since Malevsky 2007.

Other news: 2 weeks ago we were on invitation of HRH Prince Philippe in Brussels, and we now received another invitation of the Minister of Defence De Crem and this on 30 October.

Belgian Champion

As Roy could not take part in last weekend competition, due to illness we still won the Belgian National Championship at Cerfontaine.

The result wasn't great; but we did our job as needed with Luc.

Luc had to fill the tail slot; and didn't jumped with the team since a year now, logic that certain exits and block moves didn't felt as conformable as needed to get a higher level and score.

It was So's first National title as well.

The competitions of the year 2009, are now over; and with 3 victories and the silver medal on the World Cup, the first year of this line-up can be see as successful.

Next week our preparation for next year will start with 2 more training camps at Empuriabrava.

The World Meet at Russia will be our highlight of the year 2010.

Also because of our victory at the CISM; we received an official invitation for a meeting with HRH Prince Philippe on Monday at the Palace of Brussels.

A great honor for the team.
